From these workstations you can use the World Wide Web, CD-ROM resources, and IUCAT, Indiana University's online library catalog.
IUCAT lists books, journals, CDs, videos, government documents and other materials in the IPFW library and in libraries at other IU campuses. Materials in the IPFW library are identified by the library location Fort Wayne Helmke Library (FORTWAYNE). Searches from computers on the IPFW campus will default to IPFW library holdings. To search all IU libraries, choose ALL from the Select Library pull-down menu on the search screen. The Help screens in IUCAT provide useful search tips and examples.
For access to articles in scholarly journals or popular magazines, choose the Databases & Indexes link on the Helmke Library homepage. Online databases offer keyword searching of article abstracts and indexing, with many periodical articles available in full text, ready to print. Find more than 200 databases in a wide range of subject categories, including Biography, Business, Education, Health Sciences, Humanities, Science/Technology, and Social/Behavioral Sciences. Licensed databases and full-text periodicals can be accessed off campus by authorized IPFW users with valid network account.
