You may request books and photocopies of articles from periodicals that the IPFW library does not own through the library's Document Delivery Services. This service is available free to IPFW students, faculty, and staff, and for a fee to others.
Always check IUCAT first to see if IPFW owns what you need. IUCAT now offers Request Delivery, which allows IPFW users to borrow books directly from another Indiana University library.
To request photocopies of articles and other materials needed for research from another library, enter complete bibliographic information about each item on forms accessible from the library's homepage under Document Delivery Services.
Requested items generally arrive within one to three weeks. You must present a valid ID when picking up items at the Service Desk.
Articles and other photocopies, along with instructions about printing these items, will be sent via fast Web delivery to your IPFW e-mail account. You are welcome to forward your IPFW e-mail to an alternate e-mail account. Renewal reminders and library overdue notices are now 100% electronic. Be sure to activate your network account so you can take advantage of these services.
