Tour Overview 6: Microform Reading Room and Collection

The library owns an extensive collection of microform materials, primarily consisting of newspapers, older journals and magazines, and government documents.

Microfilm editions of newspapers and magazines are stored in large cabinets on the first floor. Other cabinets nearby contain U.S. government publications on microfiche.

The microform reading room has reader-copier machines to project and enlarge images for viewing or photocopying. Copies cost $0.10 per page, payable at the Service Desk. Staff there will show you how to locate microforms and use the equipment.
