Dr. O'Hear came to IPFW in 1976 and retired in 2001 as an associate professor emeritus of English. Dr. O'Hear received degrees from Saint Bonaventure University (B.A., 1962) and University of Maryland (M.A., 1964; Ph.D., 1970). He also held positions as director of transitional studies and assistant dean of arts and sciences. His areas of specialty were composition and mystery and detective fiction.
