Dr. Skelton came to IPFW in 1966 and retired in 2001 as an associate professor emeritus of Education. He received degrees from Ball State University (B.S., 1959; M.A., 1962) and Indiana University (Ed.D., 1969).He held numerous positions throughout his career at IPFW in athletics, student administrative services, development and the School of Education. He was an Associate Dean of the School of Education for Field Services and the NCAA Compliance Officer for the Chancellor's Office upon his retirement. He was director of athletics from 1979-1987. Dr. Skelton received the Ulmer Award in 1993.
