Dr. Felber came to IPFW in 1994. She received degrees from Humboldt State University (B.A. in English, 1975; B.A. in French, 1978) and the University of Wisconsin (M.A., 1977; Ph.D., 1987). She taught in the English and linguistics department and became the editor-in-chief of CLIO, a journal published by IPFW.
