Full Description:

TESS provides public access to the text and image database of trademarks currently used by examining attorneys at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Information includes the representation and description of each trademark, serial and registration numbers, owners and attorneys of record, filing date, prosecution history, design and mark search codes, and active/dead status.

Update Frequency:

The database is updated daily, Tuesday through Saturday.

Coverage:

TESS contains federally registered or pending trademarks along with information on applications and registrations that became inactive after 1984. Information on state, foreign, or common-law trademarks is not included.

Number & Type of Contents:

The database consists of more than 4 million pending, registered, and dead federal trademarks.
