Find Books for more detailsTake a look in IUCAT Catalog (Indiana University's online library catalog) for books, journals and government information. Experienced researchers use Boolean operators and other search techniques for the most precise results, which is a big timesaver!

To find primary sources try a keyword search and then add one of the special subject terms to your search: correspondence, diaries, interviews pamphlets, personal narratives, sources

Remember you can use Request Delivery to order books from any IU library. Also look in other library catalogs (using WorldCat). You can make use of DDS (Document Delivery Services) to get copies of relevant texts if IU libraries does not have them!

How to search only the newspapers from certain countries in LexisNexis Academic:
View a 2 minute demonstration or follow the steps below. 1 - Select the Sources tab at the top of the page
2 - Search in the Find a Source box on the right OR use the drop down menu to select a country or geographic region
3 - Select publications and click OK - Continues
4 - Now you will be able to search only the selected publications
Finally, use connectors to show relationship of terms, e.g., cat AND dog, john W/2 smith
