Brief Description:

The Web of Science provides an interface for searching the Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts and Humanities Citation Index, separately or together, from 1985 to present. These unique citation indexes provide indexing and selected abstracts for millions of source articles in more than 10,000 major journals published worldwide. Each record indexes every source article's entire list of cited references or bibliographic footnotes. Use the Web of Science to discover scholarly materials based on the citation network within a vast multidisciplinary literature.

Full Description:

Use Cited Reference Search to find articles that cite an author or a work. Use General Search to find articles by topic, author, words in article title, publication name, or date. The Times Cited feature in a list of results traces citation networks forward in time. The Related Records feature finds similar records based on their shared references. Use Analyze Results to understand the ranking of values in the selected field (author, institution, country, language, source title, etc.) among a set of articles. Searches recorded in Search History can be save as Alerts or combined using AND, OR operators. Results can be marked to print, save, e-mail, or export directly into bibliographic management software such as EndNote.
