Use Academic Search Premier as a starting point to locating periodical articles. This multidisciplinary online database is provided by Helmke Library and the State of Indiana's INSPIRE Indiana Virtual Library to help you search the indexing and abstracts of articles in nearly 8,000 periodicals (scholarly journals, popular magazines, and newspapers) and retrieve many articles in full text.
Our Find Resources By... page offers more than 200 electronic databases and printed indexes that can help you find periodical articles. Many of these resources provide indexing and abstracts of articles in scholarly journals, and some also provide results in a full-text format for printing, e-mailing, or downloading.
Use this handy checklist to help identify if the articles you have found are from scholarly journals, popular magazines, or from trade/professional periodicals.
This IPFW Helmke Library interactive tutorial prepares you to explore EBSCOhost's Academic Search Premier Periodical database. The other tutorial, Searching IUCAT, offers tips on finding articles using an online periodical database.
