Reference and Information Services StaffEvery academic department and program at IPFW has a specialist liaison librarian. To Find Your Librarian by broad subject or major field of research, select the person you would like to contact and get in touch by e-mail or phone.
Reference and information services librarians are also included in the Library Staff Directory, organized by library unit.
You can always get in touch with the right person by clicking on their linked name anywhere throughout the library's Web site. A personalized mail-to form will appear. We also respond promptly to reference questions sent to ref@ipfw.edu.
IPFW librarians work with the faculty to select books and other library materials, review serials and reference collections, and prepare special-needs grant applications to improve or maintain our collection strengths. Librarians are also available to assist the faculty in preparing program reviews, accreditation reports, proposals for new degrees, and learning outcomes for their core and required courses.

We regularly develop faculty workshops and promote them in venues such as brown-bag events on campus or through the Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT). Whether you're a new or veteran instructor, there's always something new for you at IPFW Helmke Library.
Library Training SessionsThe library's Training Group is a standing committee that coordinates staff training initiatives and schedules a series of training sessions on Thursday afternoons. These sessions are primarily aimed at librarians and library staff, but the audience may be expanded to include IPFW faculty, staff, and local area librarians when appropriate. Please note that the training session schedule linked below is fluid and sessions are added, canceled, and rescheduled throughout the semester. Please contact the Training Group or the individual presenter for last-minute changes and registration information.
