DirectoriesDirectory of American Firms Operating in Foreign Countries. 14th ed. Uniworld Business Publications, 1996. 3v. (Reference HG4538.A1 D5 14th ed.) Vol. I is an alphabetical list of more than 2600 American firms that have operations abroad. Data includes the firm name, address, telephone, fax, some key personnel, principal product or service, number of employees, and the foreign countries in which it has a subsidiary or affiliate. Vol. II and III are listings by country.
Directory of Corporate Affiliations. National Register, annual. 5v. (Index table, Reference HG4057 .A219) Look here to determine whether a company is a subsidiary or affiliate of a larger corporation, that is "who owns whom." This multivolume set covers U.S. public, U.S. private, and international firms. Volumes I and II are the master index to volumes III through V. Companies are listed in the master index by company name, by brand name, by geographic location, by SIC code, and by corporate responsibility. If you do not locate a company or brand name you are searching, try the "Mergers, Acquisitions, and Name Changes" section of volume I. Each entry in volumes III through V gives name of company, telecommunications data, electronic addresses, ticker symbols and stock exchange, financial data, employees, key personnel, members of the board, legal counsel and, of course, affiliates, divisions, joint ventures, and subsidiaries.

(Reference HG4057 .A21943 1998) Provides information on about 2000 foreign firms from 69 countries and on more than 4000 business in the U.S. that they own wholly or in part. The directory is arranged by country with an index of American affiliates.
Directory of Foreign Manufacturers in the United States. (Jeffrey S. Arpan and David A. Ricks) 3rd ed. Georgia State University College of Business Administration, 1985. (Reference HD9723 .A76 1985) Information provided is the name of the manufacturer, the parent company, the product, and the SIC code. Several indexes help the user locate parent companies by country, U.S. companies by state location, and products by SIC.
International Directory of Company Histories. (Thomas Derdak, ed.) St. James Press, 1988-. (Index table, Reference HD2721 .I58 1988) This multivolume directory aims to provide accurate and detailed information on the historical development of the world's largest and most influential companies. Corporations are grouped by industry, starting with advertising, and each entry includes basic information such as employees, sales, and market value, as well as a long narrative, a list of subsidiaries, and sources of further information. It is an invaluable starting place for the study of any corporation.
Moody's International Manual. Financial Communications, annual. (Index table, Reference HG4009 .M66 year) "Provides a wide reference source for financial and business information on approximately 11,100 major corporations, sovereigns and their municipalities and national and supranational institutions in 117 countries. Corporate information contained includes company history, description of business and property, financial statements, management, debt, capital and other key data."
Principal International Businesses: The World Marketing Directory, 1998-1999. Dun & Bradstreet, 1998. (Index table, Reference HF5030 .D7 1998-1999) Information on approximately 50,000 leading enterprises throughout the world. Section I: businesses listed geographically. Section II, businesses listed by product classification (SIC code). Section III, businesses listed alphabetically. Gives name, address, telephone, fax, ownership date, sales, number of employees, SIC, and president or board chair.
