Gifts of current browsing magazines, such as Time or Newsweek, are always welcome as are the established Adopt-A-Journal titles. A special need are gifts of new or gently-used DVD's, videos, or music CD's that fit the library's collection policy.

Digital certificates currently used for remote access to INSPIRE databases expire Oct. 28. If you use AOL, Prodigy, AT&T, or another national, regional, or out-of-state Internet service provider, you will need an Inspire password account to access databases such as Academic Search Elite, Business Source Premier, and others. The password is not needed by authorized IPFW users who will be validated by the library's authentification system.

Get a head start in the library. Take a virtual tour of the library to learn about our many services and resources. Activate your university computer lab account. Your unique username and password will give you access to many library services such as online reserves and remote access to library databases.

Pick up your Official University ID card in Walb Union. The ID card is your library card, too, good at any Indiana University library statewide. You must bring your card to the library to check out books and other materials.


IUCAT, the online catalog, will be DOWN from 6:00 pm on Friday, August 16 until 8:00 am on Monday, August 19 for re-indexing and implementation of new features. - 2002-08-13

After August 19 users will be able to review a list of the materials they have checked out and renew their materials online. Keyword searches in the new Online Virtual Library (electronic books and more) will be available.
