Browse the library's New Acquisitions List, now available on a monthly basis. The list is in call number (subject) order. Select Collections from the library's home page. Many new titles are on display near the Service Desk.

Search the full text of scholarly journals. Coverage emphasis includes business, humanities, and social sciences journals as well as key general science journals from the 1700's to the present. Find JSTOR under Databases and Indexes > General / Multidisciplinary

The online catalog (IUCAT) will NOT be available from 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 until 12 noon on Friday, Nov. 23. The library will close at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and remain closed for the Thanksgiving holiday until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24.

Nature covers all areas of science and provides research articles and news. Look for it on the Databases and Indexes > Books / Serials page.

Every database on the Find Resources By... page has unique features. Select Database Guides-at-a-Glance for instructional brochures that will help you search and retrieve information using many of the library's databases.

Two good sources of ideas are CQ Researcher and Editorials on File. Ask for both at the library Service Desk.

A group study room with a networked computer is available on the library's 3rd floor. Groups only. Ask at the Service Desk.

America's war against terrorism and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks

Use the library's Document Delivery Services to request research materials not available in the library. This free service now offers Web delivery of articles and citation importing from databases and an option to view requests. A step-by-step guide is available.

Most library databases are available off campus to IPFW students, faculty, and staff. An activated network account is required. See Technical Requirements for helpful information about using library resources from off campus.

Take a virtual tour of the library. Or print it off and take a walking tour. Either way you'll learn about the many services and collections available in the Helmke Library.

We welcome both new and returning students to IPFW and to Helmke Library. Your University Services Card is your library card, too. Pick yours up in Walb Union.
